Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
is in our blood

Our commitment to a diverse, equitable, and inclusive culture at work.

At Cerus, we’re committed to building a culture that promotes equal opportunities and respect for every individual. To meet these objectives, we have taken concrete steps to foster diversity and inclusion, starting with our hiring practices, where we actively seek out talent from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences. We promote equal opportunities for all and ensure that our recruitment process is fair and unbiased.

Once individuals join our team, we believe that the well-being of our people and a mission-aligned culture that embodies diversity, equity and inclusion in every area and level of the company makes us stronger and is critical to our long-term success. Cerus strives to ensure all employees feel supported and safe being their authentic selves at work. All Cerus employees receive annual diversity, equity, and inclusion training and we are continually expanding support, such as investing in more inclusive parental leave for employees in the US and a robust learning platform providing self-directed training opportunities to our global workforce.

Our pay equity practice

Cerus is committed to fair and competitive compensation for all employees. For employees who perform the same or similar jobs, we analyze multiple factors when determining compensation including external market data, geographic location, individual performance and internal pay equity to ensure all employees are compensated equitably and have equal opportunity to contribute and advance in the workplace. In addition, on an annual basis, we review employee compensation and make adjustments to maintain pay equity.‡
